Actually its open Friday also, friday its wholesale day. You will still be served as normal, a lot of stalls will be closed, but Fridays are much much more quiet and relaxed and great to wonder about. Then maybe go back Sunday for the full experience, if you get too hot go inside JJ shoping mall to cool down!
Thailand Welcome!!
People smiling at the cameraman, just because they like being friendly. That’s Thailand!
LOVE this video. Very well done. Thank you so much! I so homesick right now.
AGAIN, the difference is that the scams in Thailand typically target foreigners and especially us White foreigners. It’s written about in great mass by most any Thai intellectual or social psychologist. Don’t tell me it doesn’t exist, and stop making excuses. Thais are deeply racist toward outsiders. READ ABOUT IT
For us mere mortals, just go down to the ground level of the airport. There is a taxi stand that will charge meter price plus 50 baht. They also record drivers name and taxi’s plate. Do not talk to people at the counter inside. It’s a rip off not a scam.
I have been blackout drunk outside Nana Plaza at 4 am and had a great time, and no one bothered me. I believe their are a lot of common scams in Thailand but in general it is not much more unsafe than places in the big cities of America. There are places in Boston ,LA, New York, and Las Vegas that you do not want to be at after dark. The Scams in Bangkok are mostly an annoyance, like the gas for taxis bringing tourists to tailors. Or telling you “Nana is closed I’ll bring you somewhere else”.
Your delusional if you think The Thai government is responsive to the scams. For the most part they are in on it. just look at the jet ski scams that happen in Phuket and Pattaya , You think the police aren’t receiving kickbacks. The Fact is people are scammed all the time , The first thing that happened getting off the plane 4 of us were quoted 4000 baht to take a taxi to our hotel in Bangkok That’s about what we paid to get to the airport in America. Turns out a metered cab its about 200 baht.
