The rumours have been bubbling under for months, with the question of which restaurants would be awarded Thailand’s first-ever Michelin stars. Today, two back-to-back events in Bangkok mark the highly anticipated milestone in Thailand’s gastronomic history when the country’s first-ever Michelin stars are announced and awarded to selected restaurants and chefs in the Thai capital. And the results are in!
Gaggan, Le Normandie, and Mezzaluna have each been awarded a coveted two Michelin stars, while Jay Fai (street food restaurant), Bo.lan, Nahm by David Thompson, L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon, Ginza Sushi Ichi, Paste, J’aime by Jean Michel Lorain, Saneh Jaan, Elements, Chim by Siam Wisdom, Savelberg, Sra Bua by Kiin Kinn, Sühring, and Upstairs at Mikkeller were awarded one Michelin star.
