Bangkok Sukhumvit Soi 11 Salil Hotel 4 Star Review – Bangkok Video

Published: 2018-06-11 22:19:25

The Salil Hotel is situated in a wonderfully convenient location on Sukhumvit Soi 11, less than 5 minutes walk from BTS Nana and only 20 minutes walk to Terminal 21 (should you be feeling energetic and want to forego the BTS). It’s a 4 star hotel and has a bar / restaurant attached.

When Ta and I get offered the opportunity to go out for a night on the town, we try to avoid driving home that evening. On this occasion we were very fortunate to have extremely generous Canadian subscribers Bill & Jo who were very kind in taking care of the cost of the room for us.

We were so tired that morning, walking back to the room after dinner we were spotted by another subscriber who insisted on buying us drinks before we eventually arrived back at the Salil in the early hours. 555

The room came with buffet breakfast, free wifi and free parking.

We hope that you enjoyed watching this video.

  1. So overall an okay hotel for no more than 2 night stay.

    Breakfast was hit and miss.
Ta was not too happy with the toiletries, no parking.

It seems like that breakfast was more on an Asian style than a western style.

I usually don't eat heavy foods before lunch and there is no way I could eat dim sum for breakfast.

    The room looked very awesome.

The checking process looked very extensive compare to western standards.

Why doesn't use her passport or Thai ID to check in ?

Is it easier to provude your Australian passport than her Thai ?

This was conflicting to what I have heard about tips.

Ta tipped the bellman, I heard Tips weren't welcome.

  3. I like Soi 11, when we hit Bangkok we always stay at The Grand Soi 6 but spend the evening in Soi 11. The Zanzibar is a great bar and restaurant and great for my children, staff are very friendly. There's a super restaurant in the alley which is always packed but we always manage to get a table. Soi 11 is changing a fair bit as some of the big bars have been sold off to make way for hotels (just seen on YT over the last few months) I like Bangkok but like to get back to my rural life 😀😀
