This is what’s left of an old Thai market in Saphan Khwai, Bangkok, Thailand.
You can see from what’s left of the sign at the front that it says “RAJCHAVASU MARKET”. If I made the letters out correctly, that’s the name of this old market.
From the moment you walk into this market, there are restaurants lined up on both sides of the entrance. They are empty at the moment because they are closed.
The lady said they usually open from 4am or 5am in the morning. Till around noon or so.
But the further I went in, the less it looked like a market. I guess it’s what’s left of what used to be a small bustling market back in the heydays.
Now it looks more like a local residential area with a few shops hidden back here and there.
It’s quite sad to see things change.
