It felt good to visit the gargantuan Reclining Buddha at Wat Pho in Bangkok. Unfortunately, an entire army of Chinese tourists descended on the site in force and it was a pain trying to get a decent picture. In favor of the Chinese however, I must say some of their fair and beautifully clad young ladies are real eye candy. And the Chinese being relative Philistines with regards to other religions, they cleared out pretty quickly as well- a couple of selfies and they are on their way. Selfies indeed seemed to be the main reason for their visit! It is exasperating when 300 of Chinese tourists (not literally 300 of course, but you get my drift) swoop down upon a tourist spot at the same time and crowd around the guide and everywhere else and the. Spread themselves at all photo worthy spots queuing up between themselves for that selfie! The shrine was particularly crowded that day. (Bangkok, Thailand, Oct. 2018)
